F.A.Q.

Will my child take a nap everyday?

Every afternoon, a rest time is provided for all children. We believe it is necessary for children to have some time to themselves each day and also be able to relax from the day's activities. Please send a blanket labelled with your child's first and last name. The teacher will send it home regularly to be washed. Sheets are supplied by the school for the cots.

Does my child have to be toilet trained to start?

Absolutely not . Each child develops at their own pace. When your child is showing signs of readiness to begin this process our staff will work in conjunction with you to make this transition successful.

Hours of Operation?

All of our centres are open from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with the exception of statutory holidays inclusive of Easter Monday.

What are the qualifications of your staff?

Many of our staff are qualified Early Childhood Educators (E.C.E.) and some are in training. Throrough background checks including criminal reference checks are completed on all members of our team and hands-on orientation takes place with guidance from the supervisor or assistant supervisor on an ongoing basis.

My child takes medication, will JN administer it?

Any medications must be clearly labelled, in its original container and signed in the medication book in the office. In accordance with The Day Nurseries Act, we are not able to administer non-prescription medication.

Will my child take part in outdoor activities?
Yes! Outdoor experiences are an important part of the day! We provide activities and experiences which allow a child to further explore the outside world around them. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately to go outdoors daily during each season. Being properly dressed for the weather will ensure a fun-filled outdoor time.
