Welcome to CHERISH Private Home Child Care a program under the supervision of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, and is legislated by the Day Nuseries Act of Ontario.
The legislation enables providers to care for up to five (5) Child Care children, including her/his own under six (6) years of age. Children placed privately, or on a part-time basis, are included in this five (5). The composition of this group of five (5) children shall include:
* no more than two (2) special needs children
* no more than two (2) children who are under the age of two
(2) years
* no more than three (3) children who are under the age of
three (3) years
* no more than one (1) special needs child and one (1) child
who is under the age of two (2) years
* no more than one (1) special needs child and two (2)
children who are under the age of three (3) years
