Activities
Here at Dauphine, we keep pace with the seasons with a host of fun and educational activities.
Here are a few examples of our annual activities. As they are always very popular with children, they are held year after year.
February: friendship week
Children thrive in this lively environment, made even more cheery by decorations and activities organized as part of Valentine's Day.
April: Easter egg hunt
During Holy Week, children are invited to participate in a treasure hunt that takes place over four days. This hunt is always very popular, particularly when the prizes are handed out, and all of the children are given a prize for taking part in this activity.
June and July: Boy, is it hot!
During the two summer months when the day-care centre is not so busy, the children play outside in public parks. Each day has its own theme.
October: You're scaring me!
Halloween week is marked in a big way at the day-care centre. The centre is decorated and the children are invited to dress up. Throughout the week, the food served is different, and each day a dish featuring pumpkin is on the menu.
December: Joy, love, and sharing
Throughout the Christmas season, the day-care invites children to take part in a friendly gift exchange. Each child brings a unisex gift worth $5 so that everyone can enjoy themselves during this festive week. The day-care also organizes an annual Christmas tree decorating party, and more than 200 people take part.
